For over 30 years The Sikh Forum has been in the forefront to help rehabilitate the victims of the 1984 carnage, support the education of the children of the victims and provide organisational support to get Justice to the victims of 1984. Leading luminaries of the community-led by Lt Gen Jagjit Singh Aurora, the hero of Bangladesh war, have selflessly served the needy, devastated, families many of whom lost all the male members of the family in the violence of 1984.

It has been our determination to continue to fight for the cause for which The Sikh Forum was created. We are the only organisation who for 36 years holds two functions each year in June to commemorate the anniversary of Operation Blue Star and in November to commemorate the killings and orphaning of thousands of families. During the November function, we also provide scholarships to the deserving and needy children.

Of late we have observed that the number of Sikhs is declining in Indian administrative services, Army, Navy,  Air Force and even para-military services. It is a matter that must concern every Sikh. Our representation in these services helps determine many government policies. We think it is our bounden duty to guide and mentor our future generations as facilitators so that we can help them make-up for the decline in services across the board. It is also our responsibility to open up the world of opportunities for them. This we will achieve through the team we are creating.

The Sikh Forum has run on donations. As we expand our role and responsibilities we need your support to give back to the community. The Sikh Forum is a non-profit organisation comprising IFS, IAS, Senior officers from the Army, Navy and the Air Force, para-military organisations, Management experts, academics, industrialists, well-placed businessmen and media professionals. They are committed to working selflessly for the community continuously making contributions to keep the organisation running. It is perhaps the only organisation where people make donations and also serve the community. None is paid for their social responsibilities towards the community. As little as Rs. 20/- a month can bring a change. We are there to help the community and for achieving that objective we appeal to you to become members so that we can help the future generations of the Sikhs reach the highest echelons of society. We hope each one of you will contribute to this endeavour specially designed for the Sikh community.

Our vision is to see the Sikh community grow and prosper within the ideals set by the Sikh Gurus!
